All non-Saudi Travellers travelling with Air India Express Airlines (except passengers under the age of 8) are required to provide a mandatory RT-PCR Test (taken 72 hours before departure) to enter the kingdom of Saudi Arabia KSA (for all non-Saudi Guests irrespective immune or not) with the exception of passengers under the age of 8yrs and below.

How to book your Air India Expresss Airways Quarantine Package (If applicable for Non-Saudi’s that have not been vaccinated):

Step 1: Book your flight on Air India Express Airways Authorized Agents

Step 2: Please ensure you have all the correct documents including a valid passport and Visa. You will need to have conducted a PCR test no more than 72 hours before your flight departure.

Step 3: After completing your flight booking, Please share your ticket copy prior to 72 Hours of Departure (Which will include a hotel stay and bookings for 2 PCR tests)

Step 4: Once your quarantine package has been booked and confirmed, please print a copy and take it to the airport with you, you will need this to check-in and board your flight.

If we can’t offer you a package that suits you, you can cancel your booking for free and will receive a credit valid for one year.

As per the current travel regulation for the Institutional Quarantine Packages to KSA for EK the maximum transit time allowed for passengers arriving from restricted countries is 10hours and not more than that. If the transit time is more than 10 Hours then the passengers will not be allowed to board the flight.

Previously the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Saudi Arabia had limited permits for performing Umrah for overseas Muslims to those aged from 18 to 50 years.

Saudi authorities remove age restrictions and have dropped an age limit on overseas Muslims performing Umrah or lesser pilgrimage, a local newspaper has reported.

Earlier the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah had limited permits for performing Umrah for overseas Muslims to those aged from 18 to 50 years.

However, Okaz newspaper said that the ministry had scrapped this age limit, allowing Umrah permits for pilgrims coming from abroad for those over 50 years as well.

According to the new Umrah rule, the overseas Muslims umrah Pilgrims under 18 years are still not allowed to perform Umrah. Meanwhile, people aged from 12 and above residing inside Saudi Arabia are able to obtain umrah permits to perform Umrah provided they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has recently launched a service enabling overseas Umrah pilgrims to obtain permits for performing the spirituals in the Grand Mosque in Mecca and prayer in the Prophet Mohammed Mosque in Medina through the health apps Eatmarna and Tawakkalna after registering in the platform, Qudum in an effort to facilitate procedures for them.

Before Umrah travel, All overseas pilgrims are also required to be fully Vaccinated and inoculated against COVID-19 with vaccines recognized in Saudi Arabia and presenting an officially endorsed vaccination certificate to obtain an electronic entry visa via a platform of the Saudi Foreign Ministry of Umrah,

India DGCA has finally decided to resume  international flights operation starting from December 15, 2021, after a hiatus of 20 months. However, in view of the present rising in COVID-19 cases in a few countries, Indian Government is adopting a cautious approach, & banned flights to and from around 14 countries, include France, the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany, South Africa, Finland, Brazil, Bangladesh, China, Botswana, Mauritius, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, and Singapore. However, air bubble arrangements with these countries will continue.

As per the reports, this decision has been taken in consultation with the ministry of Health , keeping in mind the present COVID 19 situation across the world, especially the emergence of new variants.

Reports have it that the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India has already notified the airlines that they can start regular scheduled flights operations from mid-December to and from all nations, except the said 14 countries, with which India will continue the existing air bubble agreement.

International regular Flights Operations were suspended in March 2020 in the wake of COVID pandemic. The Civil Aviation Ministry even started Vande Bharat flights to ferry Indians from other countries who got stuck there due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The Ministry also started air bubble agreements after the Vande Bharat flight with some countries to allow international travel.

MoCA Secretary Rajiv Bansal stated that he expects international flight operations will return to normalcy by the end of this year, as he hopes operations of international scheduled flights will resume soon.

Further, the MoCA stated that the decision to resume international flight by mid-December has been taken in consultation with the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and is expected to benefit the aviation industry that is reeling under the effects of COVID-19 pandemic.

RIYADH – Saudi Arabia has announced on Thursday 25 November 2021, that saudi  will Resume direct entry from India and Pakistan and  six countries including Indonesia, Egypt without spending 14-day quarantine in a third country outside India.

This new directive of Direct entry from India and Pakistan will come into force from Wednesday, Dec. 1 2021, Saudi Press Agency reported quoting an official source at the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Interior.

and also for Brazil and Vietnam are the other countries that included in the new list of countries allowed direct entry into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

All those Passengers Travelling directly from these countries Including India Pakistan and other six countries are required to spend mandatory five days institutional quarantine in the kingdom of  Saudi Arabia even for fully vaccinated travellers, regardless of their immunization status outside the Kingdom, the source said.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has lifted its air travel restrictions for few countries  thereby allowing international flights to and from the kingdom to largely resume, this does not mean that all countries now have the options of entering the Kingdom. Travel to Saudi Arabia right now is possible only from countries that are not facing entry suspension or prohibition from Saudi Authority; in other words, countries from the Saudi green list of allowed countries.

List of  Saudi Arabia Green list countries?

Saudi Arabia has not officially announced a green list of countries allowed entry into the Kingdom. However, the authorities have detailed a Red list consisting of 10 countries temporarily prevented from entering Saudi Arabia at the moment.

These countries are India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Brazil, Turkey, Lebanon, Egypt, , Ethiopia, Afghanistan, and Vietnam.

Except these above countries, For travellers departing from other countries are allowed to enter KSA, the Saudi Arabian government is now issuing tourist visas / eVisas allowing anyone to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for leisure and tourism purposes. Additionally, visa on arrival is now available for list of eligible countries.

Travelling to Saudi Arabia is allowed right now?

Yes, You can travel to Saudi Arabia, you must meet certain requirements extending to vaccinations and testing. Additionally, you must not have travelled to the banned countries mentioned above in the last 14 days.

List of Vaccinations Approved and accepted by Saudi Arabia

Non-Saudi nationals holding the relevant any types of Saudi visas and those eligible for visa on arrival are now allowed to enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, if they have completed the required doses of one of the below COVID-19 vaccines approved by the Saudi Ministry of Health.

thus it is necessary, to carry a vaccination certificate  from one of the following:

  • 2 doses of Pfizer BioNTech
  • 2 doses of Oxford AstraZeneca
  • 2 doses of Moderna
  • 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson

The Vaccine duration between receiving the first and last dose ( the first dose of a single dose vaccine or the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or) must not be less than 14 days Prior to travel.

Those Travellers who have completed two doses of the Sinopharm and Sinovac vaccines will also be accepted on condition that they have received an additional dose of one of the vaccines approved in the Kingdom mentioned above.

All the Vaccinated travellers, except Saudi citizens and those who are exempt, must fill out  Registration Immunization Information Form before departure.

Saudi Quarantine Requirements and Covid-19 Testing

All the Saudi Travellers must also have successfully registered on the Arrival Registration Platform and are required to provide a negative PCR test certificate issued from a verified laboratory that does not exceed 72 hours from the time the test is undertaken until departing to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

all non-Saudi travellers over the age of eight will be subjected to another PCR test Within 24 hours of arrival in Saudia, and proceed to serve a 7-day institutional quarantine. On the 7th day, a second PCR test will be conducted and if the result is negative, they are permitted to leave quarantine on the 8th day.

Fully Vaccinated individuals will be exempted from both, quarantine as well as testing requirements, provided they must show proof of immunization. However, you must note that institutional quarantine will be applied to all arrivals (including Saudi citizens) travelling from Ethiopia, Vietnam, and Afghanistan.

Apart from Covid testing, visa requirements & quarantine, before flying, all travelers must register their details, including comprehensive vaccination information, on online portal (electronic registration of the vaccine) no less than 72 hours before flying to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The travelers’ information is linked with the Tawakkalna app, which facilitates the completion of the entry procedures for all arrivals to the Kingdom from all the Kingdom’s international Routes.

Muqeem registration.

For Passengers travelling on tourists/visitors

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has mandated registering the data of immunized travelers arriving Saudi Arabia who are non-Saudi citizens and exempted groups before arriving at the Kingdom, through the Muqeem portal.

For residents Passenger travelling to Saudi Arabia.

Saudi citizens & non-Saudi residents (holding Iqama for residents) who are currently outside Saudi Arabia must register according to their vaccination status:

All Residents of Saudi Arabia, who were vaccinated within the country will need to show their immunization status before boarding their flight to Saudi through the health status of the Tawakkalna application or by submitting a report proving immunization in the Kingdom via the Quddum platform.

For medical visitors

All Non-vaccinated medical visitors, entering Saudi Arabia by land or Air are mandated to register themselves through the link https://muqeem.sa/#/vaccine-registration/register-visitor?type=MedicalVisitor.

Acknowledgment of the accuracy of the entered information and the correctness of the information will be verified at the entry points, and failure to comply with these requirements makes it open to preventing entry to the Kingdom and the legal consequences.

Other entry requirements for

Proof of vaccination.

All arriving guests (except for certain exempted travelers) are mandated to show their proof of vaccination, obtaining one of the vaccines approved in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The vaccine certificates are required to be certified by official health authorities from the country that provided the vaccination for incoming passengers. 

Duration between receiving the last dose (the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or the first dose of a single dose vaccine) should not be less than 14 days before travelling to  Saudi Arabia. All Guests must carry their vaccine certificates at all times during their stay in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia (or proof of health status through applications and accredited programs in the Kingdom).

Tawakkalna app Must download by All arriving passengers before arrival and register upon arrival is mandatory. Once registration and proof of vaccination are complete and ready, log in to the Tawakkalna app and register your immunisation data on the app. 

This Tawakkalana app is available in over more than 75 countries worldwide and Saudi Residents or Saudi visitors can easily upload their vaccine details easily:

  • Download the app
  • Fill in your personal information, which includes passport number, phone number, date of birth and nationality
  • You will receive a verification code via SMS. Input the verification code
  • Create a password of 8 or more characters.

What is the Saudi Arabia Quddum platform?

The Quddum is an arrival registration new platform for international inbound travelers to Saudi Arabia arriving for various purposes. This platform was launched with the aim of easing and simplifying entry procedures at various countries border ports.

The Quddum Platform allows those coming to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to register their COVID-19 vaccination status on the platform before their arrival. In the portal, All Passengers and travelers travelling to Saudi Arabia must register and update their vaccine status at least 72 hours before arrival.

Who can register in Quddum Platform ?

The Quddum platform allows the following to register and benefit from its services:

  • Residents, both vaccinated and non-vaccinated
  • Visitors, both vaccinated and non-vaccinated
  • Visitors travelling for treatment/medical purposes
  • Domestic workers accompanying Saudi citizens

 

How to register on Quddum platform?

To register in Saudi Arabia’s Quddum platform, travelers should proceed as follows:

  • visit the Absher platform and select ‘Arrival Platform’
  • you’d like to change the language to English, click on “English”
  • Now select the category most relevant to you. Available categories include vaccinated/non-vaccinated visitors and residents, medical visitors, and domestic workers accompanying a Saudi citizen
  • Enter your Iqama number and date of birth or visa number for visitors
  • select “Verify”
  • Next page, select “Arrival Type” and enter “Flight No” and “Arrival Date”
  • Then, enter the “Arrival Destination” and select “Airline” from the drop-down menu
  • Enter the captcha code and accept the “Acknowledge Statement” stating the entered information is correct
  • Click on “Confirm”
  • Your Quddum registration will be complete now

Saudi Quddum Platform Conditions for registration.

To be able to register on the Quddum platform, Both residents and visitors must be able to satisfy the following.

Vaccinated residents Travelling to Saudi Arabia.

  • Residents should be outside of Saudi Arabia, at the time of registration,
  • The registration should be done within 72 hours before flying/entry into KSA
  • The Tawakkalna status should be Immune, Immune by the first dose, Immune by recovery
  • Information must be correct. Providing inaccurate information may lead to restrictions in travelling and entering the Kingdom
  • If the spouse is also travelling with the resident, then they should be registered as a companion
  • Register the children, if any, under 18 years as companions
  • Domestic workers should be registered with the travelling resident

Non Umrah performers can apply for Tawaf permit soon

SAUDI ARABIA MAKKAH — Visitors & Worshipers other than #Umrah pilgrims performers will also be allowed soon to perform (Tawaf) circumambulation around the Holy Kaaba , Okaz News has learnt from well-informed sources in #Makkah.

Tawakkalna and Eatmarna  application are going to update a new icon titled “Tawaf” will be added in the both applications by the coming weekend to facilitate booking appointment for the performance of tawaf for non-Umrah worshippers / Visitors.

King Salman Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques allow using the full capacity of the Grand Mosque for pilgrims and worshipers This is in line with implementing the recent directive.

There will be also an options in Eatmarna and Tawakkalna applications to book appointment for kissing the Black Stone (Al-Hajar Al-Aswad), touching the Yemeni Corner (Al-Rukn Al-Yamaani), and performing prayer at Hijr Ismail ( Muqeem E Ibrahim).

Umrah Pilgrims and worshippers will be made available of the best ever services and facilities for performing their rituals in ease and comfort Process.

They will be enabled to take advantage of the enhanced smart applications related to services at the Two Holy Mosques, the sources said, while pointing out that all these will be strictly in line with the compliance of the precautionary measures and preventive protocols to stem the spread of coronavirus.

Special Forces for the Security of Hajj and Umrah Commander Maj. Gen. Muhammad Al-Bassami announced that the first floor of the Grand Mosque will be set aside to perform only tawaf for non-Umrah pilgrims and the icon for tawaf will be added on the Eatmarna and Tawakkalna applications very soon, according to Al-Ekhbariya channel.

Al-Bassami revealed that tawaf for non-pilgrims will be available outside the times of prayers during morning and evening from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

There is cooperation between all the concerned agencies with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to activate the Tawaf icon on the Eatmarna and Tawakkalna applications, and it will be available by the end of this week, coinciding with the short vacation at the end of the first semester of education.

Al-Bassami said that preparations are under way to facilitate the first floor of mataf (circumambulation area around the Holy Kaaba) and the Grand Mosque to receive the large numbers of worshipers.

Umrah pilgrims and worshipers are required to wear masks at all times when they are within the Grand Mosque and its courtyards.

Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoun also added that the Emirate also wants to attract 100,000 companies in 3 years, 400 global economic events annually by 2025, and encourage private sector companies and family businesses to list on the financial markets and stock exchanges in Dubai.
