Ministry of Haj and Umrah Removes Child Restriction Allowing To Accompany with Families In The Two Holy Mosques: Hajj Umrah Ministry.

Makkah-Saudi Arabia: The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah ended the controversy surrounding entry of children in the Two Holy Mosques.

A Ministry spokesperson said that all children (irrespective of vaccination) can accompany families visiting the Two Holy Mosques. The Spokesperson however said that for Umrah pilgrims an individual is required to be 5 and above. However several families reported that security authorities in the Grand Mosque didn’t stop children from accompanying them in the Mataaf.

Earlier this week the Saudi ministry of Interior lifted all COVID-19 related health precautionary measures and the Ministry of Health also ended the daily reporting of the COVID-19 cases.

Indian Muslim Worshippers are eager to perform Umrah after two years Since 2019 of Covid-19 restrictions.

Umrah Pilgrims in the India have been counting down the days to visit Saudi Arabia for performing Umrah Rituals.

Now, following the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s decision to ease Covid-19 restrictions , worshippers in the India are expressing their happiness at being able to travel and Perform Umrah & offer their prayers.

Mohammed Shabbir Ali a 36-year-old Indian, said: “He was longing to be there, as I used to travel annually to perform Umrah. Inshallah, I will be there in the last 10 days for Ramadan 2022 Umrah,” he said.

Demand for Umrah has risen considerably for the coming days starting from 06 March 2022 and the last 10 days of Ramadan, and is expected to surge higher than pre-pandemic levels, as many worshippers are eager to perform Umrah after two years of Covid-19 restrictions since 2019.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah also announced that fully-vaccinated children are allowed to enter the Grand Mosque in Makkah and Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. The minimum age requirement for permits through the Umrahna and Tawakkalna applications is five years.

The Ministry of Saudi Arabia reported that it had issued more than 29.4 million permits to the Grand Mosque over the past seven months. During the same period, more than 3.7 million permits were granted to worshippers to the Prophet’s Mosque.

On Twitter, Dr Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, said: “Two years ago,in 2019 Umrah was closed down due to the pandemic, and now it is open to everyone.”

After 2 Years: Lifting Of All Precautionary Measures Including Saudi Institutional Quarantine.

MAKKAH: The Ministry of Interior has lifted most Precautionary Measures against spread of COVID-19 ahead of Ramadan 2022 and increase in Umrah Pilgrims.

This includes:

  • No Institutional Quarantine for All Umrah Guests Arriving Saudi Arabia.
  • No Social Distancing and Physical Distancing in all Mosques in the Kingdom including the Two Holy Mosques
  • Abolishment of Institutional Quarantine and submission of PCR tests for those coming to the Kingdom from outside.
  • Removal of 10 Day waiting period between Umrah Permits
  • Lifting of Flight Suspension from 17 countries including Afghanistan, South Africa, Namibia, Botswana , Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique, Malawi, Mauritius, Zambia, Madagascar, Angola, Seychelles, Comoros, Nigeria and Ethiopia

Few Mandatory requirements remain in place such as to appear “Immune” on Tawakalana (Vaccinated against COVID-19) to enter the Two Holy Mosques after obtaining the required permits (Umrah and Prayers in Rawdah only) through Eatmarna or Tawakalana , However children under 5 years of age may be allowed to enter the courtyards of the Two Holy Mosque.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah 2022 announced on Saturday that there is no need for obtaining permit and taking appointment to perform prayer at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

The new decision means that worshipers can pray at the Two Holy Mosques and visit the grave of the Prophet (peace be upon him) without the need to issue any permits.

The ministry announced that issuing permits will still be applied to perform Umrah and pray at Al-Rawdah Sharifa.

“Showing the immune health status on the Tawakkalna application is the only prerequisite to enter and perform prayer at the Two Holy Mosques,” the ministry said

Saudi Arabia ended and Remove on Saturday all coronavirus restrictions in the country including following social distance and wearing masks outdoor.

As per the Saudi GACA Report – Saudi Arabia Institutional Quarantine is no longer needed for All Arrival guests , Coming from, India , Pakistan ,Bangladesh or any other Countries, But Guests must be fully Vaccinated.

It will also end social distancing in the Two Holy Mosques and all mosques in the Kingdom but worshipers still have to wear masks. It is not mandatory to wear masks at open places, but required to wear masks indoors.

The new decisions announced by an official source at the ministry of interior will come into force starting from Saturday March. 5, 2022. It also suspended social distancing measures at all closed and open places, activities and events.

Also, the country will no longer require travelers to undergo mandatory COVID-19 quarantine upon arrival to the kingdom. Passengers will also no longer need to provide a PCR test upon their arrival.

All arrivals to the Kingdom on visit visas of all kinds required to get an insurance that covers the costs of treatment from coronavirus infection.

The Kingdom lifted the suspension of direct flights and arrival to the Kingdom from the following countries (South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique, Malawi, Mauritius, Zambia, Madagascar, Angola, Seychelles, United Republic of Comoros, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Afghanistan).

The source stressed the importance of continuing to complete the implementation of the national plan for immunization, which includes taking the booster dose, and applying procedures to verify health status in the “Tawakkalna” application to enter facilities, activities, events, planes and public transportation.

The source explained that the measures taken above are subject to continuous evaluation by the competent health authorities in the Kingdom, according to the developments in the epidemiological situation.
