Saudi Arabia Travel Requirements & Quarantine Guidelines

KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA FLIGHTS FROM / TO

The transport of Saudi Citizens on international flights is allowed to the permitted countries with the condition of receiving the full doses of the approved vaccines in the Kingdom. The following categories of guests are excluded:
Children under the age of (12) twelve years provided that they obtain a valid health insurance policy approved by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) to cover the risks of COVID-19.
Individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 in a period not exceeding (6) months.
Individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 and received one dose of the approved vaccines in the Kingdom.
Individuals whose status in Tawakkalna appear (Exempted) from COVID-19 vaccine, are to be treated equally as those whose status in Tawakkalna appear as IMMUNE.
Starting from 01 August 2021, the following conditions will be applicable to guests while using air transport in the Kingdom:
Immunization is mandatory to use air transport. As per the definition established by Public Health Authority (Weqaya), immune person is an individual whose status in Tawakkalna shows either of the following:
Those who have received two doses and have completed their vaccinations against COVID-19.
Those who have passed (14) days after their first dose.
Those who have recovered from COVID-19 in a period not exceeding (6) months.
All guests, except for guests under the age of (12) years, shall be immune as per their status in Tawakkalna to be accepted in domestic flights.
Residents shall be immune to be permitted to enter the airport and accepted to travel internationally.
Individual whose status in Tawakkalna shows “not infected” will be no longer allowed to enter the airport and travel.
Individuals whose status in Tawakkalna appear (Exempted) from COVID-19 vaccine, are to be treated equally as those whose status in Tawakkalna appear as IMMUNE.
Non-Saudi nationals holding Tourist Visas are allowed to enter the Kingdom during COVID-19 pandemic if they completed the required doses of one of the COVID-19 vaccines approved by Saudi Ministry of Health and have successfully registered on the “Arrival Registration” Platform via https://muqeem.sa/#/vaccine-registration/home . Must provide negative PCR test certificate issued from a verified laboratory does not exceed (72) hours from the time the test is undertaken until departing to the kingdom, and guests who did not provide the certificate will be denied from boarding the airplane.
Travelling with ID has been suspended for GCC citizens.
All arriving guests including the members of diplomatic missions accredited in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their families (except Saudi citizens and children below 8 years of age) must provide negative PCR test certificate issued from a verified laboratory does not exceed (72) hours from the time the test is undertaken until departing to the kingdom, and guests who did not provide the certificate will be denied from boarding the airplane.
All guests, except passengers under the age of (8) years, to undergo two PCR Tests, within (24) hours of arrival and on 7th day of arrival. If the result is negative, they are permitted to leave quarantine on the 8th day.
All guests travellers who intend visiting the Kingdom (excluding Citizens, Residents and GCC Citizens) must have medical insurance that covers the costs of COVID-19 treatment in outpatient clinics, emergencies and hospitals, including the institutional quarantine for a period of (14) days.
All guests must obtain and show a prof of vaccination (vaccine certificates for COVID 19) with one of the flowing vaccines:
• 2 doses of Pfizer BioNTech
• 2 doses of Oxford AstraZeneca
• 2 doses of Moderna
• 1 dose of Johnson Johnson s Janssen
Vaccine certificates are required to be certified by official health authorities from the country that provided the vaccination for incoming passengers, and the duration between receiving the last dose (the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or the first dose of a single dose vaccine) should not be less than 14 days before traveling to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Guests must carry their vaccine certificates at all times during their stay in the kingdom (Or prove of health status through applications and accredited programs in the kingdom) Failure to comply with these regulations makes travellers subject to legal liabilities .in addition to being denied.
Guests who have completed two doses of the following vaccines will be accepted :
• Sinopharma
• Sinovac
On condition of that they have received an additional dose of one of the vaccines approved in the Kingdom mentioned in the above paragraph.
Saudi Citizens & non-Saudi residents (holding Iqama for residents) who are currently outside Saudi Arabia and have received one of the vaccines, approved by the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia, can register via the link : https://eservices.moh.gov.sa/CoronaVaccineRegistration/ in order to get the approval of their vaccination certificates and update their immunization status.
IMMUNE and Non immune Travelers ( except Saudi Citizens and exempted categories ) must fill out the Registration Immunization Information Form before traveling to the Kingdom through the following dedicated website: https://muqeem.sa/#/vaccine-registration/home to allow them to register their immunization data which will enable them to use TAWAKKALNA App.
All international travellers’ guests arriving to Saudi Arabia must complete a period of (7 days) of institutional quarantine at their own expense starting from the time of arrival at the institutional quarantine facilities to the Kingdom. The following categories are exempted from the institutional quarantine:
– Saudi citizens, citizen spouses and their mothers, citizens children and domestic workers accompanying with any of these categories.
(Non immune travellers, in this category, shall comply with home quarantine for a period of 7 days, and be allowed to take the COVID 19 PCR test after the end of the 5th day of quarantine).
– Non immune domestic workers accompanying an immune resident
(Non immune Guests shall comply with home quarantine for a period of 7 days, and be allowed to take the COVID 19 PCR test after the end of the 5th day of quarantine).
– Immune Guests of citizens and residents and their companions, resident’s wives and resident’s children those who are under the age of (18) who are not accompanied by their parents. Non –immune Guests, shall comply with Home Quarantine for 7days, and take PCR test after the end of the 5th day of quarantine.
– Those holding a diplomatic visa, diplomats and their residing families, and their domestic workers.
(on the basis that they adhere to the quarantine procedures by staying in their homes in accordance to the minatory of health (MOH) approved regulations).
– Cabin Crews
– Those involved in health supply chains, according to MOH
-Health practitioners working in Government sectors, their families and companions those who are under the age of 18 (Must comply with home quarantine for 7 days with 2 PCR tests, one within 24 hours and another after the end of the 5th day).
All Guests must take a PCR test on the 7th day of arrival If the result is negative, they are permitted to leave quarantine on the 8th day.

Above points not applied on countries that suspended from traveling to/from the kingdom in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as decided by the competent committee as a result of COVID-19 outbreak in these countries.
Ending the suspension of travel into the Kingdom from the following Countries (United States of America, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, United Kingdom, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Japan) with compliance to the Institutional Quarantine Guidelines and Procedures.
Temporarily suspending entry into the Kingdom for all guests coming or passed from (Argentina, Indonesia, Pakistan, Brazil, Turkey, South Africa, Lebanon, Egypt, India, United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Vietnam ) and same applies to those who are coming from other countries if they have passed through any of the aforementioned countries during (14) days preceding their entry to the Kingdom.
Except:
1-(Saudi Citizens and their families and accompanying workers (Point #20 will be applied to them) , Diplomats and their families , Health Practitioners , health supply chain personnel and airlines’ crews ) . Following conditions will be applied for the exempted categories :
Providing a negative result of (PCR) test certificate for Non-Saudi nationals over eight years old
2-Residents of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine in the Kingdom before leaving the Kingdom to the suspended countries are allowed to enter the Kingdom directly. Relevant guests (except children under eight years) are required to provide PCR certificate with negative result conducted in a period not exceeding 72 hours before departing to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and comply with all precautionary measures and health requirements in the Kingdom.
Institutional / Home quarantine procedures for travellers coming from restricted countries as follows:

Non Immune Saudi citizens :
a) (PCR) is not required before traveling
b) Must comply with Home quarantine for (7) days and test after the end of the 5th day
Immune Saudi citizens citizens:
No procedure is applied
Immune Non-citizens:
a) Must provide (PCR) test that not exceed (72) hours before boarding.
b) No quarantine is required nor (PCR) after arrival.
Non Immune Diplomats and their families:
a) Must provide (PCR) test that not exceed (72) hours before boarding.
b) Must comply with Home quarantine for 7 days and ( test after the end of the 5th day)
Non Immune Health practitioners and their families and companions who under (18):
a) Must provide ( test that not exceed 72 hours before boarding.
b) Working in Government sectors (Must comply with Home quarantine for (7) days with (2) (PCR) tests, one within (24) hours and after the end of the 5th day)
c) Working in Private sectors (Must comply with Institutional quarantine for (7) days with (PCR) tests, one within (24) hours and after the end of the 5th day).
Institutional quarantine will be applied on all Guests (including Saudi citizens) traveling from the following countries ( Ethiopia, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Afghanistan) , Excluded from the institutional quarantine are the following:
Diplomats and their families , Cabin Crews , Health practitioners and their families , Those involved in health supply chains according to Ministry Of Health.
All guests must download and register on Tatamman and Tawakkalna Applications.
Guests must assign home location Through Tatamman app within 8 hours of arrival.
Guests most monitor COVID-19 symptoms, and immediately call 937 if any symptoms appeared or go to primary healthcare center or emergency if necessary.
Guests must do daily health assessment in Tatamman app.
Guests must follow precautionary procedures during self-quarantine at home as stated in the Health Disclaimer Form.
Non-Saudi Citizens being family members (husband, wife or children) of Saudi Citizens or home workers (driver or domestic worker) of Saudi Citizens are allowed to enter the Kingdom directly if travelling with the Saudi Citizens and without the need to spend no less than (14) days outside the country in which the new strain of Corona Virus is spread but still need to provide a negative PCR test certificate issued from a verified laboratory does not exceed (72) hours from the time the test is undertaken until departing to the kingdom.
Allow Saudi Woman who is married to Non-Saudi Man to travel to/from Saudi Arabia accompanied by her husband or joining her husband abroad by providing marriage document.
Allow Saudi Men who are married to Non-Saudi Women who happen to be residing abroad to travel to/from Saudi Arabia to their wives by providing marriage document.
Traveling abroad from UK :
All guests traveling abroad from the UK must complete the Travel Declaration Form before their travel via the link here to confirm that they are legally allowed to travel abroad from UK.
