Travel Update Qatar Entry Ban Due to Covid 19 Including India And 5 Other Countries.

As per the Ministry of Public Health report, the names of the banned countries are India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Nepal and Egypt. The list was effective on 30 January at 7 pm. Irrespective of Qatar Institutional Quarantine Pacakges.

Keeping in mind the Covid-19 pandemic, Doha Qatar has updated the travel list & has banned six countries due to health and safety Protocols. the Ministry of Public Health report, Release the names of the banned countries are India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Nepal and Egypt. The list effective Immediately on 30 January at 7 pm.

1. Passengers and airline crew are not allowed to enter Qatar.
– This does not apply to:
– nationals of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates;
– residents of Qatar;
– passengers with a Diplomatic ID issued by the MOFA of Qatar;
– passengers younger than 12 years traveling with fully vaccinated parent(s);

– passengers with a COVID-19 recovery certificate issued in the past 12 months in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia or United Arab Emirates; and
– a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they received the first vaccine dose of AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V, at least 14 days before arrival;
– airline crew with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate stating that at least 14 days before arrival they received:
– the first dose of Janssen; or
– the second dose of AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty); or
– the second dose of Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V and a positive COVID-19 antibody test taken before departure.
2. Passengers and airline crew must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 72 hours before arrival.
– This does not apply to:
– nationals and residents of Qatar arriving from Jeddah (JED) or Medina (MED), if they are Umrah passengers. They are subject to a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival;
– nationals and residents of Qatar with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V, at least 14 days before arrival, when arriving from green list countries: Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Benin, Bhutan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Central African Rep., Chad, Chile, China (Peoples Rep.), Colombia, Comoros, Congo, Congo (Dem. 3. Passengers must register at https://www.ehteraz.gov.qa/ at least 3 days before arrival and obtain pre-travel approval.
– This does not apply to nationals and residents of Qatar.
4. Passengers must complete the “Undertaking and Acknowledgment Form” before arrival. The form can be found at https://covid19.moph.gov.qa/EN/travel-and-return-policy/Pages/default.aspx
– This does not apply to:
– nationals and residents of Qatar with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated in Qatar, with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V, at least 14 days before arrival; and

6. Passengers could be subject to a COVID-19 antigen test upon arrival.
7. Passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated with Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V, at least 14 days before arrival, must have:
– a positive COVID-19 serology antibody test taken at most 30 days before departure; or
– a COVID-19 vaccination certificate stating that they also received one vaccine dose of Covaxin, Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) at least 14 days before arrival.
8. Nationals of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates are not allowed to enter with a national ID card.
9. Visa on arrival facilities restarted.
10. Passengers arriving from, or who transited through, exceptional red list countries: Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Nepal, Pakistan or Philippines must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V, at least 14 days before arrival.
