Umrah Resumption Fully vaccinated foreign pilgrims to begin arriving from 09 Aug 2021

Umrah Resumption for pilgrims from all over the world starting from 09th August 2021 ( Muharram 1443 )
The ban has finally going to be lifted, Umrah is Reopening in August 2021. After nearly 2 years of closure due to the coronavirus pandemic, pilgrims from all over the world will be able to perform Umrah Again soon starting from this year, the sacred journey that has been missed by millions of Umrah pilgrims worldwide.

After a stunningly successful Hajj 2021 season, with zero recorded Covid-19 cases, Saudi authorities have decided to resume Umrah starting the 15th of Duh’l- Hijjah 1442 – 25th of July,2021 for Saudi residents and starting the 1st of Muharram, 1443 – 9th of August, 2021, performers from around the globe will be able to apply for Umrah visas and go on their Umrah trips accordingly.
Getting ready for Umrah’s busy season ( Umrah Season 2021 & Umrah Season 2022 )

Hani Ali Al-Amiri, member of the National Committee for Hajj and Umrah stated that;

More than 500 Umrah service providers and agencies along with 6,000 Umrah agents are getting ready to serve, book, and accommodate aspiring Umrah performers. People wishing to perform Umrah.

Umrah performers need to be in excellent health condition, fully vaccinated against Coronavirus, and must be over 18 years old. Umrah aspirants need to conform to the health and precautionary procedures set by the government to ensure their safety and security.

Al-Amiri added that Umrah services providers offer accommodation, transportation, and all ground services packages. While online services are available globally through B2B and B2C platforms approved by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah whereas, the pilgrim can choose his desired package, meals, flight, and means of transportation.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Publication
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has issued a publication on the 15th of Duh’l- Hijjah 1442 – 25th of July,2021 concerning the rules and regulations for Umrah visa issuance and Umrah performance for foreigners. The publication stated that;

All service providers, Umrah performers, and agents should comply with the safety rules and regulations issued by the Ministry.
Only authorized service providers are allowed to book or perform a service for pilgrims.
Only pilgrims of 18 years and above are allowed to book for Umrah
Only fully vaccinated pilgrims with two doses of either Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, or J&J will be granted Umrah permits and visas.
Pilgrims are requested to visit one of the authorized medical centers in their countries to run a health check-up and confirm their health status before visa issuance.
Pilgrims should note that specific prayer locations have been designated conforming to the social distancing and safety regulations.
Pilgrims are also required to follow markings on the floor when performing Tawaf as was seen during Hajj.
All countries are allowed to send direct flights except for nine countries which are India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Egypt, Turkey, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, and Lebanon which require a quarantine of 14 days in a third country before arriving in the Kingdom
